MEETING DAYS

The Youths meet on Fridays at 7 pm EST to discuss the ministry’s updates and upcoming events, their personal spiritual, academic, family and social life, they also advise each other no how to improve their faith and service to God and to man.

The Youth Ministry Programs:  There are weekly, monthly and annual programs. Programs include but not limited to Retreats, fasting and prayer periods, Bible studies and Bible quizzes.

HISTORY

The Hearts of Jesus and Mary Youth Ministry which started on February 14, 2015, is an arm of the Hearts of Jesus and Mary Ministries.

MISSION

The Mission of the Youth Ministry is “Bringing the Youths to Christ”. This is achieved through evangelization, reading the bible and living by the Word; through service, prayers, fasting, and sacrifices to have personal  relationship with God; through staying focused on God to save their souls; they will  appreciate God’s gifts as testimonies; and  will also connect, relate and encourage each other.

VISION

The Youths will:

  • be disciplined and matured Christians through living a holy and apostolic life.
  • love God and man.
  • be deeply involved in fasting, payers and meditation, sacrifices and services, studying the Bible and living out the Word
  • Live the life of appreciation and gratitude.
  • live through devotion to and imitation of the Blessed Mother Mary

MEMBERSHIP AGE

The age range for the Youth Ministry membership is from childhood to young adults.

LEADERSHIP STRUCTURE

The Leadership Structure is comprised of the Adult Coordinators and the Youth Leaders.

SUB-MINISTRIES

The Sub-ministries in the Youth Ministry include:

  • The intercessory ministry.
  • The Rosary ministry.
  • The singing ministry.
  • The ministration ministry.
  • The Bible sharing ministry.

THE OBJECTIVES

The Youth Ministry Prayer line is tailored to meet the following objectives:

  1. To teach them to recognize who they are in Christ Jesus and the purpose for their life on earth.
  2. To teach them to become leaders using their respective talents to help win other youths for God
  3. To teach them the fundamentals of the Word of God, and guide them into daily bible studies.
  4. To teach them God dependency – how to pray effectively; and when or how to run into the presence of God for solutions to any problem they may face.
  5. To counsel them through issues by making available an access lines to call any time a youth is in need of prayer and counseling.
  6. To guide them to recognize opportunities of services to help them find their place in the body of Christ in their respective zones – church, school or home.

The following are HJM plans to help meet the objectives of our youth ministry program:

  1. The Youth leaders will meet regularly to pray, share ideas and discuss how to promote their prayer lines.
  2. The Youths are be encouraged to create their own prayer line social media plans as an avenue to reach out to more youths, talk to each other and share Gods love and Word, and invite their friends to join the prayer line.
  3. Adult leaders will also meet with the youth leaders when needed to discuss their plans, for guidance and motivation.
  4. ​HJM Founder, brother Uwakwe Chukwu will be a regular monthly guest speaker to youths prayer line to energize their faith, arose enthusiasm and to make them feel as part of the big ministry.
  5. At every national convention, youths are to be represented by allowing them to plan their own programs with the adult coordinator’s approval. It does not only make the convention exciting for them, but also an avenue for their networking and cross over to adulthood.
